Dear <<First Name>>Many thanks for joining us on Sunday afternoon for the presentation. We were so proud of the good turn out and enjoyed the spirit of the community, the excellent participation and enthusiasm.
Just to recap:
The City of Cape Town is assisting us with an application to Heritage Western Cape so that we comply with environmental and heritage issues. We cannot commence work on the land until a permit is granted. Once we have this we will immediately put the following in place:
A board of trustees
Application for the establishment of a not-for-profit company or a trust
Begin working on the land
Composting and preparing the soil
Purchasing equipment
Fundraising and partner development
Marketing
Should you wish to be involved in any of the above tasks, or just wish to put forward an idea, please drop us an email. In particular, we’re looking for someone to help create a film/photographic record of the creation of the OZCF, that might someday grow into a “making of” documentary and/or book, or just be important archival material for the future history and heritage of our community. If this sounds like your thing, please let us know ASAP. If not your thing, you can also check out ourwish list.
We will keep you up-to-date and thanks for being so community-minded.
All the best,
The Oranjezicht City Farm Team
