Dear OZCF supporters
As you may know, there’s a day in the park planned for Heritage Day (24 September) where we want to tell everybody all about us, and we need some people to do the telling! I would love to hear from those of you who would be willing to man the table for two hours on the day. We need about 12 volunteers all together, so don’t be shy!
The work to be done will involve answering people’s questions about our plans for the farm and helping them sign up for the newsletter and/or as volunteers, selling OZCF t-shirts and giving guided “tours” of what the farm will look like. It’s bound to be a fun experience, and OH Watch have kindly allowed us to let the families of any volunteers in for freesies — depending on the size of the family, this could be a huge saving! 🙂
We’ll be holding an information session at 17:00 on Saturday the 22nd; we’ll also distribute a list of frequently asked questions and answers beforehand, so you can still help out on Heritage Day even if you can’t attend the info session.
The FAQs are something you can help with right now — what have people been asking about when you tell them about the farm? What are you unclear on or interested in knowing more about? Send us your questions by Thursday and see them magically answered!
I look forward to seeing lots of faces at Homestead Park next week, whether they’re helping us man the table or just having a lovely day in the park and finding out about our plans for the farm.
Until then!
