HOME CANNABIS CULTIVATION with JAMIE LITT at OZCF
Spend each morning in Cape Town’s most wonderful urban farm environment learning about one of Nature’s most diverse and misunderstood plants – its history, its uses and how to cultivate it. This series of workshops is aimed at those who have limited knowledge of cannabis cultivation and consumption but who would like to start their own grow as permitted by our constitution to produce personal quantities for medicinal or recreational use.
The series of workshops takes place on the following Saturdays & Sundays:
Part 1 – An Introduction to Cannabis and its Cultivation – 13 October 2019 (09h00 – 12h00). Workshop-only cost: R550
Part 2 – Strain Selection and starting a Grow – 3 November 2019 (09h00 – 10h30). Workshop-only cost: R350
Part 3 – Preparing to Flower plus mid-season trouble shooting and Q&A Session – 18 January 2020 (09h00 – 10h30). Workshop-only cost: R350
Part 4 – Harvest Time, drying and curing your crop – 28 March 2020 (09h00 – 12h00). Workshop-only cost: R550

Part 1 – This 3 hour introduction course will offer a cultural, political and botanical history of the plant. It will guide you through the process of selecting a strain that is right for your needs, how and where to source seeds or cuttings. It will lay out the simplest available options for starting an outdoor grow and advise on the best materials for beginners to obtain the best results.
Part 2 – After selecting your chosen seed or cutting, we will plant together in our preferred grow environments, based on information given and choices made from Part 1.
Part 3 – Preparing for the second phase of growth as the plants move into flowering, the changing needs of the plant and how to ensure it has the right environment to ensure the best outcomes.
Part 4 – When and how to harvest your plant. Drying and curing the flowers to ensure the best quality product and consideration of consumption and how to process it.

ABOUT JAMIE LITT
Jamie Litt moved to Cape Town from the UK in 2010. Having been a cultivator for many years in the past, after a hiatus, he reawakened his passion for this amazing plant a couple of years ago. He has since expanded his experience base into all forms of cannabis cultivation both indoor & outdoor, hydroponic and organic soil-based. His particular interest is in the diversity of strains which are available and the ability to match specific strains to a person’s requirements.
