Description
Many schools want to visit the farm and spend a morning with our volunteers learning about food, plants, ecosystems, health, nutrition, and even maths, art and much, much more. However, not all can afford to do so with the price of fuel and the lack of funding for public schools — particularly for educational outings.
By sponsoring a school visit, you will enable a group of 25 – 30 learners from age 5 to 13 from a disadvantaged and under-resourced school come to OZCF and be fed a healthy and nutritious lunch. They will also receive copies of our nutrition handbook to take home, that will help them and their families make healthier food choices.
Sponsors will receive by e-mail a beautifully designed certificate acknowledging with appreciation the sponsorship. After the school visit, sponsors will also receive a thank-you photo and letter from the school, photos from the visit, and information on the school, class and teacher.
