Instructor: Emily Roberston started with a BA in Sport Science and went on to do BSc Honours in High Performance sport. Her love for running start in second year but she only discovered trail running in her Honours year. That is when she began to get into the mountains more and more. At the end of her Honours year, she started to work for Alpasfit and is still with them, going on almost 4 years!
While she was working, she applied for a Masters in Biomechanics specifically looking at Trail running kinematics. Essentially, she wanted to see how different runners move and what sort of role running form plays in overall performance. She completed her Masters last year in 2021.
Note: This workshop is for those who want to learn how to set realistic but mindful goals. The workshop is designed for people who are starting out with road running or trail running and want to know how to take the first steps. Professional and advanced runners are welcome but the workshop reflects the basics of the sport.
